Who is the club for?
Well that’s easy, it is for anyone with an interest in woodturning. Everyone is welcome at the club, young or old, experienced turners, those just starting out who have never done any turning before, or even if you just want to know more about woodturning. We aim to be inclusive of people from all backgrounds.
But I don't own a lathe
You do not have to own a lathe or be an active woodturner to become a member, you just have to be interested in woodturning or want to find out more.

Woodturning is for old people - right?
No! Our meetings are open to people of all ages. The AWGB runs schemes with the Scout movement, and we are keen to introduce young people to woodturning, via the Scouts, with schools or any appropriate organisation. We are aiming to inspire the next generation to become involved with woodturning.
